RedStream was formed in January 2025 by Dr Elise Ruthenbeck, a PhD-qualified editor with 20 years of experience in research, publishing, writing support, and coaching.

Elise's own PhD was about how writing is, itself, a process of self-authorship. She believes that when you publish, you are acting powerfully to build who you are in the world.

Writing and publishing is different for every writer and every project. It can be joyous, vulnerable, scary, exciting, monotonous, confusing, and many other things: sometimes all at once!

Our team of experts draws together the highest level of technical skill with respectful, attentive communication. We support individuals and groups to produce books and research publications in all disciplines.

We partner with organisations to design and manage research projects, communications, and specialist interdisciplinary collaborations.
